POLICY/POLITICAL ACTIVITY
Please share the political activity your Chapters/Region without Chapters/Interest Groups undertook during the reporting period. Please include visits to MPPs (or forthcoming scheduled meeting with MPP, (please identify the name of MPPs for tracking purposes at home office), Action Alerts, Letter Responses, etc. Please specify:

•    Submitted resolution to the RNAO AGM recommending content on CT be incorporated into core curriculum of all nursing programs in Ontario
•    Developed committee to discuss framework process for curriculum development and position statement
on CT
•    Member presented Therapeutic Touch Policy for nurses to the Patient Care Committee at The Hospital for Sick Children
•    Sent out notice to members about protesting P3's and the rally
•    Member involved in developing a proposal for a CT Clinic for the homeless and low income individuals in downtown Toronto

MEDIA ACTIVITY

MEMBER SERVICES

•    DISTRIBUTED MARCH EDITION OF THE CTNIG QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER TO MEMBERS AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES
•    Forwarded many articles related to CT from  Media Clips to members
•    Notified members about CT related events: Images of Healing Film Festival; The Art and Science of  Traditional Medicines Conference
•    Notification sent out about RNAO AGM and CTNIG General Meeting in April; Hub fellowship; Scholarship Competition; Marsh Insurance grant
•    Responded to numerous inquires and requests for information, contacts and assistance in developing proposals for CT

RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION

•    Organized March for Member campaign
•    151 members
•    All new and renewing members, and as yet non-renewing members and all prospective members received a list of highlights of our first year that includes encouragement to join RNAO, if not already a member, CTNIG brochure, CTNIG book mark, flyer re CTNIG for posting and an application form for CTNIG membership.
•    Sent out In the Loop Jan/Feb and encouragement to join RNAO if not a member

STUDENT REPRESENTATION/INVOLVEMENT WITHIN LOCAL CHAPTER/REGION WITHOUT CHAPTER/INTEREST GROUP

1.    What strategies are you undertaking to link with students in order to highlight how chapters/region without chapters/interest groups are working to connect with your student membership?
•    Communication with student to develop student participation in CTNIG

2.    Please advise if you have filled the student ENO position on your local executive. If you have not yet done so, can you provide a timeline as to when you expect this to be completed?
•    Currently working on setting up a meeting
